What happens if your item doesn’t receive any bids? 

As we’ve mentioned, there is no out of pocket expense for you or your organization.  If an item receives no bids, you pay nothing!  You can also relist your item up to 10 times absolutely free of charge!  When your item sells, Charitable Auctions takes a small percentage of that sale after the auction ends and those proceeds are donated to support underprivileged children and fund cancer research. 

What if you’d rather receive donations instead of selling auction items?

We don’t stop at auctions. We also offer a fundraising platform where a person, sports team, or other group can raise money for a non profit through donations.  This platform allows people to donate money to the cause of their choice instead of receiving auction items.  All donations are deposited directly into the charities’ account.

Once you open a store at IDonateToCharity.org, your visitors can request a fundraiser’s page where they can help raise money for your charity. This page allows your fundraiser to explain your charity and why they are raising money (i.e. for cancer research, Naperville Youth Baseball Team, Breast Cancer Walk, etc.)  They can then email or otherwise market and advertise the fundraiser’s store link to drive people to the donation page. All receipts are automatically delivered so you can keep track of everyone who has donated and every donation is immediately deposited directly into your account.

What are Sub Stores?

One of the best features Charitable Auctions offers is the ability to let charities sign up sub stores under their main store. What this means is when a non profit opens a store, they can give access to a business or person to open a sub store so that person or business can list items for that charity.  A great advantage is that all the money goes directly into the main charities’ account so the person or business representing the sub store never has to handle any money.  The only thing that needs to be done is to arrange for shipment of the auctions items sold. 

Once a store is opened you get a store link similar to this: www.IDonateToCharity.org/YourStore.  You can place this link on your website, myspace page, ezines or newsletters, and other advertising venues, or send out an email about it to your mailing list.

What if I don’t have a Paypal or other merchant account?

Don’t want to set up a Paypal merchant account? Let us do all the work for you. We can collect payments for you through our own secure merchant and payment processing system.  At the end of every month, we will send you a check for your auction sales.

What if I don’t have items to sell?

No worries!  We have set up relationships with hundreds of manufacturers and distributors who will let you sell thousands of their products up to 75% off the retail price.  They will also drop ship the products to your customer’s door. You list the items you wish to sell.  Once that item sells, you collect the money from the buyer, go to our website, pay the wholesale price for the item, and tell the system where to ship the item. That’s it! You keep the profit for your charity. We give you all the information and tools to make it work.

How can I increase traffic and further promote my storefront?

Along with the thousands of people browsing our website every day, we also have marketing materials that you may use free of charge to help generate traffic to your store. You will have access to our pre-written flyers and email ad copy.  You simply fill in your store information and mail or email it out to market your organization.  This will help you generate traffic from your own mailing list. We also have radio and TV stations that use our website. When you sign up for our newsletter and updates, we will send you announcements when these companies are marketing to thousands of people so you can list items. This will greatly increase your bids and charities’ exposure.

What will all of this cost?
